{UAH} 'Leicester City fans love Vichai for his deeds, not his words'
Frank Mujabi/ Moses Nekyon
This Thai billionaire took Leicester City FC from the second division, when they were just weeks away from a bankruptcy winding up order, right up to the the top- as Champions of the English Premier League two years ago. He did this in just 8 years. This achievement and feat will never be repeated, that a team can rise from the edges of oblivion, and then climb up three divisions to become champions. Unlike other billionaires who invest in football, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was a genuine football fan who also loved the club and attended all their homes matches. He made a significant contribution to the economy of Leicester City and is known to have been a generous benefactor to the local hospitals and to charities. He will be missed by the fans of Leicester City FC as the man who took them on an impossible dream and kept them there for at least 5 years.
RIP: Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha"
