At 10 41 pm Toronto time Canada's first-ever legal purchase of recreational cannabis was made in Newfoundland and Labrador, just after midnight their local time. The historic first sale marks a major shift in drug policy and makes Canada one of the very few countries globally to regulate and legalize Marijuana for adult use. At midnight Toronto time, the same product became legal across Ontario. In Ontario, The Provincial government will initially only sell pot online, and the apps have started to show up, but it is expected to be available in private retail stores by next April.

 

The legalization of Cannabis, thanks to the Liberal government,  has passed Ontario and on its way to the West Coast.
