{UAH} ON DREAM TV TONIGHT

KARUMA H.E..P. PLANT, A DREAM THAT HAS COME TRUE
l was one of the Government Communicators from Government Citizen
Interaction Centre and Uganda Media Centre, that spent Thursday at
Karuma Hydro Electric Power plant that is under construction.
As were studying in the seventies and eighties, they used to talk
about Hydro Electric Power plants to be built at Bujagali, Karuma and
others.
Bujagali was at last built but not Karuma. Initially the latter was to
have only 200 megawatts so that the environment is degraded and to
avoid flooding in Lake Kyoga basin. So ti has been constructed under
ground and 200 megawatts are completed and will be commissioned in
December this year insha Allah, and the rest next year.
With the will of God, tonight l shall be on Akiikembuga Extra, on
Dream TV, from 09.00 pm to 10.00 pm, where l shall be joined by other
analysts. Stay tuned.
