The woman on the left and her family hosted me when i worked in Mindanao, Philippines. A really lovely family- the Philippines at its very best.. She is is now a cabinet minister in Rodrigo Duterte's government. She wanted me to return to the Philippines to be deputy head of their Human Rights Commission- but I declined as i am not a supporter of Duterte- - i had a bad history with him when he was a mayor of Davao city, the capital of Mindanao, at the time.
