{UAH} Yoweri Museveni Primary School in Mbale Municipality..Why name it after him?

There is Yoweri Museveni Primary School in Mbale Municipality, in eastern Uganda. It is a Universal Primary Education (UPE) and has been around for about 20 years. To be fair I must also point out that there is as well a Musamali Primary School in Bupoto sub county of Namisindwa District in eastern Uganda, another UPE establishment. It is named after Perez Musamali (no relative of mine by any remote chance!) who was one of the very few Uganda Patriotic Movement (UPM) parliamentary candidates eastern Uganda had in the 1980 elections. HE Yoweri Museveni was the UPM presidential candidate in that poll. Both Museveni and Musamali lost the election but Musamali later entered the National Resistance Council (NRC) - Uganda's interim parliament between 1986 when Museveni captured power and 1995 when a new constitution creating the current Parliament was promulgated. Musamali was gunned down while at home in Bupoto in the early 1990s, allegedly by one of his nephews and allegedly over a family dispute.
