{UAH} KAYIBANDA MUSEVENI'S INDIAN MURDERERS
The murder of Dickens Okello has attracted a wide condemnation and angry reactions from not only residents, but from leaders too.
Okello, 11, a P.3 pupil was allegedly murdered by Indian nationals in Alito, Kole district on Friday.
Justice Rubby Opio Aweri reacting to this, condemned the act and called for justice.
George Opio Rashid, the Lira district council speaker has called on residents to boycott all businesses owned by Indians in the area until justice is served.
Benson Dilla, the speaker of the Lango cultural foundation has called for a meeting with Lango clan heads over the issue. He however did not mention the date for the meeting.
Judith Alyek, the Kole district woman MP has promised to take the matter to parliament tomorrow.
A section of locals have hatched a plan to demonstrate over an alleged mistreatment of Indian nationals on the locals.
According to reports from witnesses including an account from the brother of the deceased, Okello's neck was broken.
The report indicates that the Indians identified as Madmay and Fravay traveling in a Toyota double Cabin in Anekapiri dropped sweets, biscuits and money shs 2,000 with intentions of luring the deceased and his elder brother who were trekking home. The report says after the kids rejected the sweets, biscuits and money from the Indians, one of the Indians stepped out and started chasing the kids. Unfortunately, the deceased stuck himself to a barbed wire and fell. The report further says the Indian snapped the neck of the Okello after he got hold of him. They later fled the scene but were later arrested by police.
The police, through their North Kioga Spokesperson David Ongom Mudong, claim post mortem report conducted on Okello indicate that he died of a heart problem but Dr. Francis Olwa who conducted the post mortem has since denied releasing the report. He added that even in his report, there is no mention of heart complications.
The motive of the killing is still unclear though it is suspected to be related to ritual sacrifice.
