Testifying today in a U.S. corruption trial former Senegalese foreign minister Cheikh Tidiane Gadio provided details of what prosecutors say was a scheme to bribe two African presidents and other officials that began with a September, 2014 meeting in Trump World Tower at U.N. Plaza.
On trial is Chi Ping Patrick Ho, accused of paying a $2 million to Chad's President Idriss Deby and $1 million split 50/50 between Ugandan dictator Gen. Yoweri Museveni and his foreign minister Sam Kutesa, on behalf allegedly of CEFC China Energy.
