{UAH} Ex-Minister in an accident

*MP James Kakooza* was today afternoon involved in a tragic accident in which he left a Pastor dead. The injured MP was shoved under the seats of a filthy police truck, despite his apparently broken limbs, and driven on a bumpy road to hospital. Never mind that this kind of transport aggravates his already life-threatening injuries.

'Hon.' Kakooza is a former junior Minister of Health and one of the most vocal supporters of removing the constitutional presidential #AgeLimit. In 2005, he moved the motion that removed the presidential #TermLimit. In so doing, he implicitly supported the maintenance of Uganda's appalling health services status quo because it benefits the ruling family.

As usual, karma chose to represent herself today. I seek to derive no pleasure in the MP's' pain, but I hope he uses this trying moment to question his position on the things that really matter to the common man. As my friend Esomu usually says, _sometimes all it takes is an "accident" involving a "big man" for the poor man to "accidentally" get the services they deserve_.
