U.S. GOVERNMENT EXHIBIT #1504 Photo of #Kutesa prosecutors showed jury.
Patrick Ho was convicted of bribing foreign minister Kutesa $500,000 via May 6, 2016 wire transfer to Stanbic. Ho faces 65 years in prison after conviction on 7 of 8 counts.
It started with Kutesa coming to New York to become President of U.N. General Assembly.
Assistant U.S. Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski said, "Patrick Ho paid millions of dollars in bribes to the leaders of two African countries to secure contracts for a Chinese conglomerate. Today's trial conviction demonstrates the criminal division's commitment to prosecuting those who seek to utilize our financial system to secure unfair competition advantages through corruption and bribery."
