The people who are scrambling to replace kayibanda had better  take him seriously. The first thing they need to do is to disabuse elections completely from their strategy and plans. In fact they need to eliminate elections completely as a route to changing power in Uganda because it will never happen. kayibanda can only be removed in two ways:

1. An internal coup within his NRA mafia group- with or without the support of elements of the oppoistion.

2. Armed struggle- lasing 5 to 10 years which results in the  total defeat of his NRA Mafia gang, his hanging or execution  and the  killing or elimination of all his commanders and cheer leaders

A total of 317 MPs voted in favour of the motion to lift the upper age limit of 75 years while 97 members voted against. Two members abstained from the vote.
