CORONA: NO REFERENDUM THIS YEAR AS GOD CONSPIRES YET AGAIN AGAINST RAILA

CHANCES of no referendum this year have now been enhanced considerably after the 15th March broadcast by President Uhuru that 2 contacts of the first coronavirus case have been confirmed to have contracted the virus from the first case.

Hoding of a referendum had been a big Iffy question without coronavirus stacking the odds against it. Treasury simply had no money for it.

Now with the economic crunch coming with the coronavirus virus, the little available resources at the disposal of the Government will have to go towards fighting to keep Kenya and Kenyans safe from Covid-19.

The supply of imports from China is slowing down noticeably. Four big ships that brought imports from China have not called at Mombasa port since the outbreak of the virus.

Essential items that usually came from China are dwindling fast.  The same applies to raw materials that keep local factories going.

Travel ban is going to hit hard ailing Kenya Airways and the tourism sector where hotels are staring at cancellation of hundreds of conference tourism events that had been scheduled. Add to that the adverse impact on hotel bookings as tourists wont becoming.

The result will be massive layoffs of workers. There had been  layoffs before corona but the outbreak will now compound the situation.

KRA will not be able to meet its 2020 revenue targets, meaning there wont be enough cash for the Government.

Already, Uhuru's Big4 affordable housing programme is in limbo due to lack of adequate funding.

For those reasons, it is highly unlikely there  will be a reggae referendum this year.  If Raila were a Muslim, I would have advised  him to recite a special supplication to Allah not to conspire with his enemies.

Apparently though, God or Allah is conspiring yet again against him, denying him victory at the last moment.

A Divine retribution for indulging in the sycophantic worship by his Luo followers who have hailed him as god. And he never rebukes them.
