Fw: {UAH} KENYA TERROR ATTACK REVEALS TRUE MEANING OF 'PEOPLES DEFENSE FORCE'.(Photo)

Hussein;

For sure our KDF is the most extreme-reluctant-force on matters political in my view.

Whenever terrorists have attacked Kenya since 1998, Kenyan political divides come together, and so is our religious leaders and opinion leaders.

Bonny Khalwale's daughter was finally rescued early this morning at about 3:27am, while Hon. Junet Mohammed has lost his 1st cousin and burial is later today.

Terrorists (Al Shabaab) kill more Muslims daily in Somalia, yet other extreme terrorist groups/rogue governments kill more Muslims in Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan. A drop of dye colours a full glass of water......!

Thank you for your best wishes et al.

Edmund

The words "Peoples Defense Force" is not just an empty name or title. It is the distinct, indisputable act of an army that defends the people with ones own life if necessary against all potential danger to the peoples lives and property. Protecting them by literally putting oneself as a human shield behind which the people can seek protection if necessary, and with the soldiers weaponry pointing at the danger, and not at the people like we regularly saw here in Uganda (e.g. The 2016 military patrols during and after the elections). While a Peoples Defense Force ensures security, it can never be part of a massacre like that in Kasese, Uganda in 2016 against hundreds of the very civilian population that they are supposed to protect at all costs. Furthermore, a peoples Defense Force should not be a force for political repression against the people, or a force representing the politicians clinging claws in this new millennium.
While the regions nations all have capacity building issues that we all still face in our respective public institutions, the role and place of the army in society is one area where Kenya obviously leads other nations in the region today. Regardless of what others might think of themselves, Kenya Defense Force is a shining example for others to follow particularly in a country's internal politics.
Allow me to commend the Kenyan people and the Kenyan government for always coming together whenever under attack. And I also commend the Kenyan security agencies and first-responders for doing a professional job time and again in a country that obviously continues to be a target for terrorists and their secretive, treacherous political funders and logistical backers both at home and abroad. The spirit of selflessness and unity amongst all Kenyans in such times of national sorrow is unequaled here in East Africa. I call on the people of Kenya to stand firm in the face of these senseless atrocities that murder innocent people indiscriminately for no apparent reason except possible religious bigotry and an obvious deep-rooted unhinged mindset of total ignorance towards principles of tolerance and peaceful co-existence under freedom of choice and individual rights for all persons. I also would like to take this opportunity to caution Kenyan leaders not to allow emotions and anger to over-ride their professional judgement like in one previous incident a few years ago, but instead lead your own investigation with meaningful tactical cooperation from partners in a way that ultimately avails you with the appropriate logistical requirements and security information/intelligence so that you can yourselves pinpoint as much as is possible the masterminds and all those behind these terrorist acts, and either bring them to justice in front of all the people of East Africa, or have them face the fire they started if they dare resist arrest.
God Bless You & may peace, prosperity and freedom ultimately prevail in the region.
