{UAH} God sent Museveni to bless, serve Uganda- Bishop Lubowa

Frank Mujabi/ Mayimuna/ Ikanos/ Alan Barigye,

This bishop Lubowa claims God sent Kayibanda to serve Uganda- presumably he meant to save Uganda. Can't you see now how religion as well as God have lost their relevance to Ugandans and are fast becoming symbols of fun and entertainment? Surely is there anyone in Uganda today who takes the Christian churches seriously?. I hope not, because I can see religion and the churches soon becoming identified as enemies of the people. Nobody with a functioning brain can support religion, and the verbal diarrhea it keeps emitting, day in, day out. Religion is nonsense and we should get of it.

GOMBA. Central Buganda Diocesan Bishop Michael Lubowa has warned youth against misusing social media platforms and abusing President Museveni.
"...but because of his calmness, he forgives and when he starts to speak, you will hear from him talking about development, steady progress, peace and the country move forward with stability. So, don't provoke him. Use Whatsapp and Facebook for development not to abuse him," Bishop Lubowa said.
He made the remarks during the New Year service held at St. John's Cathedral, Kasaka Village in Kanoni Town Council, Gomba District on Tuesday, where President Museveni was the chief guest.
"…also stop attacking bishops like me who are supporting Mr President because he was sent by God to bless and serve our country. I ask my number one Christian of Central Buganda Diocese (Museveni) to revive mchaka-mchaka courses because they were good in shaping the youth. In the New Year, don't allow your hearts to move with jealousy, hatred, anger and always use the Holy book to be good citizens," he added.

While speaking to the congregation, Mr Museveni also urged youth to avoid being disoriented, drunkenness, drug abuse, over expenditure and the tendency of going to outside countries looking for jobs.
"We shall know you by your fruits. Work for prosperity, be exemplary in your villages, but with discipline and moving with our Lord Jesus Christ," he said.
He tasked religious leaders to focus more on encouraging people to promote food security, hard work and prevent diseases in the communities.
He donated Shs20million and pledged more Shs280million towards completion of the Diocesan House. He also pledged to tarmack a two kilometre stretch from Kanoni Town Council to the Diocesan headquarters, purchase of three tractors, heifers, maize mill and a truck for the diocese to boost agriculture and create employment for Christians in the diocese.
