HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR SELF IN AN ACCIDENT?
Here is what you as a driver needs to know about the Law.
It is good practice to stop and ascertain whether someone has been injured as a result of the accident. If possible render all necessary assistance to the victim. However only stop where it is reasonably safe to do so. Never stop where you suspect mob justice or any other injury because you are protected under S.125 (1) of the Traffic and Road safety Act, 1998.
A driver who does not stop for fear of his/or her own safety is required to report the accident to the nearest police station as soon as is practicably possible.
Accidents are not crimes. In case anyone is injured, no police officer should arrest you. You as the driver are simply required to give your name and address to any police officer present at the station within 24 hours.

Allaah gives the best to those who leave the choice to Him."And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things." (6:17)
