{UAH} Museveni tells graduates to join comedy

The headline here should have read: "I've failed you - Museveni tells graduates."

Having run out of plausible excuses for his prolonged misgovernment, Museveni is slowly coming to acknowledge the obvious: he should have left the office over two decades ago.

In his address to this graduating class, the president was obviously counseling them to look into opportunities that promote self-employment, rather expect to be employed by someone.

Good counsel that should be offered all the time from high school, but for the president to finally admit that there are no jobs in the country, is to confirm that he has failed to create the enabling environment that would allow the creation of employment for the youth.

And that is the long-term tragedy of his leadership.
