The White House has just issued statement cancelling the U.S. delegation’s trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, citing the partial government shutdown. In a just issued statement  from White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, she says and I directly quote “ Out of consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, and to ensure his team can assist as needed, President Trump has canceled his delegation’s trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland," The gathering of political leaders and global elites is to take place from January 22 to 25. United States delegation was supposed to include Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin as the leader of the U.S. delegation, joined by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and deputy chief of staff Chris Liddell.
