{UAH} THE RISE OF THE FEMALE TEENAGE REBEL

What distinguishes this age from previous ones? It is certainly the rise of the female teenage prodigy who captures the world's imagination. Teenagers are supposed to be reading books and drinking porridge, but not these  three, who have probably now entered the lexicon of famous people, as the most outstanding teenagers of their  generation.

They are:

1) AHED TAMIMMI, 17 years old, a  Palestinian activist who has become the face of Palestinian  Resistance. Tamimmi has just been released from an Israeli jail, after serving a one year sentence for slapping an Israeli soldier. Ahed was named ARAB PERSON OF THE YEAR for her courage and fortitude in leading the Palestinian struggle at such a tender age.

2) Nigerian schoolgirl LEAH SHARIBU, 15 years old. Leah was one of 110 girls abducted from their school in Dapchi, Nigeria by muslim terrorist group Boko Haram in February 2018. All the other girls, who were muslims,  were soon released  following negotiations by the government. Leah however wasn't released because she refused to convert to Islam in exchange for her freedom. She still remains in captivity. Last year, Leah  released a harrowing and haunting video in which she appeals to the world's Christians to save her. In the video, she reiterates her commitment to her Christian faith and says she is prepared  to die for Christ. Leah was named AFRICAN PERSON OF THE YEAR 2018 for her courage, fortitude and faith.

3) RAHAF MOHHAMMED ALQUNUN, 18 year old Saudi teenager, who has rejected Islam and in so doing, in a much publicised act of defiance, has challenged the entire Muslim world about their oppressive treatment of girls and their  abuse of the religion of Islam to keep women in slavery and captivity.
