{UAH} The Slow Escape of Saudi Women

REMEMBERING DINA ALI- DISAPPEARED SAUDI WOMAN.

Dina Ali Lasloom is a Saudi woman who sought asylum in Australia but kidnapped on transit at ... Airport in Manila, Philippines on April 10, 2017, and deported back to Saudi Arabia... As we watch with amazement the on-going spectacle of the teenager Rahaf al- Qunun dominate international news for a full week with her act of defiance and remarkable courage against religious intolerance and barbarism, please spare a thought for another young Saudi woman who has fallen victim to the brutal practices of the Saudi Kingdom. With her defiance, Rahaf may have struck a mighty blow against religious intolerance in the muslim countries that years of campaigning have not been able to achieve, but the same can not be said of Dina Ali, 24 years old, who had run away from the barbaric Kingdom to escape its harsh and oppressive guardianship laws that treat women as slaves and forbid them from doing anything or going anywhere outside the home without the permission of a man. Dina Ali fell out with her parents after she rejected an arranged marriage and she decided to break off completely from them when her father threatened to kill her. In fear for her life, she boarded a plane and was in transit to Australia to seek political asylum when she was kidnapped by the Philippines government at Manila airport and handed over to the Saudi authorities. She was quickly deported back to Riyadh. I was involved in efforts to save Dina Ali, including helping her get lawyers in the Philippines when she was kidnapped. Dina Ali has not been seen since 13/4/2017..Earlier reports said Dina had been put in a "Shelter", effectively a prison, but no one has heard from her or seen her since. She is now presumed dead, most likely beheaded. Amnesty International and the entire human rights community are still trying to trace Dina Ali, but the hopes get dimmer every day that passes.Dina Ali would not be the first person beheaded by the barbaric Saudi authorities. Sharia law, which they claim to follow, is a thug's charter which does not belong to the civilised world and should be banned.
