{UAH} Uganda in Fresh Protest Against Relocating UN Centre, Kutesa Seeks Parliament’s Support -
Frank Mujabi/ WBK,
I think WBK was wrong in his optimistic analysis that Uganda had won in the tussle over the relocation of all UN activities to one regional HQ, in this case based in Nairobi. I think Kayibanda still does not understand the reason the UN wants to distance itself from Uganda: It is because of his, and his Foreign Aide Kutessa's personal and growing reputations for graft, corruption, and perfidy. The UN can not afford to be associated with characters who were found to have taken bribes from a Chinese fixer by an American court. Specifically, The UN wants to distance itself from Kutessa, a man who served as the president of its General Assembly and thoroughly disgraced the institution with his corruption and and connections with the seedy underworld.
