Oregon reporter held without bail on murder charge after cell phone records parts of her uncle’s shooting death

MEDFORD — A Jacksonville woman facing a murder charge in the shooting death of her uncle has been ordered held without bail after a smartphone recorded her shouting an expletive when told he was still alive a few minutes after the shooting.

The Mail Tribune reports that Jackson County Circuit Judge Lisa Greif on Friday made the ruling during a hearing for Aisling “Tucker” Moore Reed. Reed, 29, blogged, wrote books and reported for the Grants Pass Daily Courier under the name Tucker Reed.

Authorities say Moore Reed's smartphone recorded some images when Shane Patrick Moore was shot in July 2016. The phone continues recording though the camera is covered.

Authorities say it picks up the sound of Moore Reed becoming ill in a bathroom and sobbing. Her mother Kelly Moore tells her that Shane Moore is still alive.

Moore Reed confirms with her mother he's not yet dead, then shouts an expletive.

Kelly Moore has previously said the shooting was an act of self-defense.
