JINJA CITY:A VICTIM OF POLITCAL WARS

With time, the 33 years old government regime has successful turned the prestigious tourist destination and industrial town into some old rugged dusty village.

One wonders what kind of witchcraft this regime even used to continue getting votes.

Years back my dad used to stay at an apartment at Wilson road in kampala as the rest of the family lived at muvule crescent in Jinja.

He tried to live with me and i go to kampala schools because i was so bright.

But i preferred Jinja for kiira road and nile avenue were the most prestigious places to live in by then.
Jinja is the like of Samburu county in Kenya.

The beauty of the flowers, the nice roads, the quiet Breeze, the tourists that visited in hundreds by the day.
There were more white and black foreigners trekking the area than the residents.

Everything about Jinja is a tourist attraction in it's own making.

Today, all the town is covered with potholes and dust, car garages dismantling and reassembling cars everywhere, all municipal facilities are falling apart, all tourist points are shadowed by markets and venders due to severe poverty and unemployment, and very many other abnormalities going on.

Nalufenya Children's Hospital was one of the best in the country, today abandoned and rotting in a Bush.

Gadaffi barracks was one of the best in Africa, but all the building constructed by former regimes are rotting away.Instead all inmates are harboured at MAADA HOTEL and other underdeveloped hotels fending a plate of food at 100,000 per meal.
I will let you calculate the costs and estimate the corruption cases involved.
UPDF shame upon you.

Created Cranes Hotel had an airfield that Dr.Kiseka used to live so much.Kimaka airfield had a standard runner way,now falling apart.

Magwa Primary school,Narambai Primary,Spire road Primary, mwiri Primary school, main street primary school, walukuba primary school among others.

Kakindu stadium was a brand name, today in ruins.

Jinja Hospital was a national referral hospital, today even the mortuary doesn't have Fridges, the theatre expired years ago.

Jinja railway station is now an open museum.

Jinja golf course is deserted at most times.

All roads are filled with potholes and dusty, and with that a the beautiful flowers are gone.

We are now left with one big slum village.

One thing the government has succeeded in is dividing residents against one another via political lines
