The Orange Democratic Movement party continued with her Mt Kenya tours amid simmering wrangles within the ruling Jubilee Party.

A movement dubbed Mt Kenya and Diaspora Forum under Maina Kamanda has intensified its onslaught against Deputy President William Ruto, with the group accusing him of derailing President Uhuru Kenyatta's agenda.

And on Friday, Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna met delegates from Mt Kenya East where they discussed among others, revamping the Orange party.

"Concluded the week's county tours in Meru meeting a section of Party officials from all the 9 constituencies together with DSG Hon. Agnes Zani.

"The leaders have expressed support for the BBI and invited their Governor Hon. Kiraitu Murungi to devolve the Handshake," said Sifuna on Twitter

Raila Odinga has performed dismally in the last three elections from the region and it is his latest cooperation with President Uhuru Kenyatta that the party hopes to take advantage of ahead of 2022 polls.

For the better part of Monday, Mr Sifuna also pitched tent in Nyandarua County where he met delegates ahead of March 1st National Governing Council meeting in Nairobi.

Deputy President William Ruto is struggling to stamp his authority at Mt Kenya and his camp suffered a major blow when Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, a staunch supporter of his candidature, joined the race.

Despite all these, President Uhuru Kenyatta has remained mum over the matter, only insisting on delivering his promises to people ahead of 2022.
