Why Are Western Men, Especially Those From The UK , Looking For Women Overseas? The Following Reasons May Be Factors: 1/ The Liberation Of Women Has Freed Them From Male Control, Reducing The Influence Of Patriachy And Giving Women Independence And Significant Control Over Their Lives. 2/ The Welfare State, Which Provides A Basic Income For All Families And Also Social Amenities Such As Housing, Education etc Has Reduced The Role Of The Man As Bread Winner And Head Of The Family 3/ Independent, Assertive And Successful Women Are Not Attractive To Most Men, A Majority Of Whom Still Prefer To Be In Control. The Philippines Is A Particular Attraction For Mainly Middle-Aged, Divorced Or Widowed Men.
