{UAH} Applaud Besigye’s consistency in our politics
Dr Kizza Besigye's declaration of people's cabinet and people's assembly as one of the means of empowering the defranchised Ugandans, is receiving insults from certain quarters instead of praise. It is like a once sweet love affair between one caring, but naughty boy and his patient and emotional girlfriend gone bad.
Nonetheless, the fact that the public is discussing the people's cabinet, is another plus to the struggle. In any management process, it is important and better to deal with clients who offer feedback than those who keep silent even under conditions when they would choose to either publicly agree or disagree. Feedback is important in making managerial decisions.
Unfortunately, the insults against Dr Besigye by a section of the public, although it shows that he is regarded as a very productive political leader, is the most naive for anyone to make.
Who doesn't know that the more the internal bickering the pro-struggle people have, the more the comfort President Museveni enjoys? Whereas we all have our political choices, there is no justification for blackmailing other pro-struggle personalities.
Why would anyone who wants President Museveni out of power be pleased when some of the individuals who are supposed to champion the struggle have gone inactive? We should all applaud Dr Besigye's consistency in our politics.
