{UAH} BOB WINE IN SOCIAL MEDIA STORM ABOUT TV INTERVIEW

Alan Barigye/ Frank Mujabi/ Annette Kobby/ Gwokto.

I dont know if you are subscribed to Facebook, but Mr Bob Wine is being slaughtered so mercilessly over a TV interview he gave. The man is getting a real roasting. Apparently in his TV appearance,  he confirmed everything I have written so far about him- that he is very mediocre and does not have even 5% of the qualities required of a national leader. This deficiency is made fatal by his absence of a political organisation that might compensate for the many gaps he has in his competence and CV.. Mr Wine is being compared to Nasser Sebagala, but Sebagala tried to repair his academic  deficiencies by going back to University and getting a genuine degree from Oxford Brookes University.

Apparently Mr Wine was put to task with simple economics questions on topics such as Inflation, Corruption etc. The interviewer wanted to know his economic policy, but Mr Wine did not have a clue  what economic policy is, and gave an evasive  answers that he has an economics team that would deal with such issues.  The man is completely out of his depth when a discussion is on economics. so if he cant answer a simple  question on corruption, how can he deal with the complex economic issues of our time?

The job of a national leader in a country like Uganda is first of all an economic one- how to get to  grips with a collapsed economy, and get it standing, walking and running again. Get the economy working, and everything else will follow. A Hungry man is an angry man, so how can we fill the tummies of Ugandans to stop them from being angry and to get them working? How can we get rid of poverty? How can we get our institutions up and running again? Bob Wine does not have a clue about these simple, but profound issues.

In many ways, I pity the man because it is not his fault that he lacks the qualities that would be considered standard for a leader  in any other country in the world. We must be the laughing stock of the whole world if a country like ours can not produce a leader who is educated to an international standard and can stand his ground with grace and assurance in a TV interview. The fault is mainly that of Ugandans who are so desperate for change they will simply accept anyone who promises to kick Kayibanda's arse. But this is a mistake, and will prove very costly in future. Bob Wine is simply not presidential material and the sooner Ugandans realise this, the better for our hopes for the new Uganda we all want.

Moderator: The corruption cancer awareness to be deep into every institution how do you intend to address that problem

Bobi Wine: Let's deal with the basic problems first, we want the public officials to be well paid, we want the Boda Boda guy to leave his home confident that he will not be arrested and charged money that will take you a week to pay before he rescues his bike. Once everyone is living a better life in that regard, then we can handle huge problems.

Moderator : How do you intend to improve the economy of the country when you take power

Bobi Wine : we need to remove OTT, generals like Kyaligoza should start respecting traffic officers.

Moderator : you mean removing OTT will make the young people to get jobs something they need to have to wake up and go work every morning.

Bobi Wine : of course when someone is free he can do anything he wants. But if you want me to tell all our economic policies then i will have to come with my team here because it's not me alone

Moderator: Since you believe elections were rigged what do you intend to do.

Bobi Wine: just get national ID's, funa endaga muntu "akalulu akaweze tebakakwatamu bakwata mu kataweze gwe Funa endaga muntu"
