Egypt is Facebook's largest market in Africa, with over 35 million users. Facebook became so huge in Egypt in 2011 during the Arab Spring, that a child was named "Facebook."
Nigeria has over 27 million Facebook users, the second highest in Africa.
Twitter was once free to use on MTN in South Africa.
