{UAH} Even today I have not learnt to insult someone really bad

By Rev. Amos Kasibante

Even today I have not learnt to insult someone really bad. It started at home. You could never use insults such as 'tafulu' or 'swine' (in any language) or 'ebigambo ebitayita mu kamwa'. Other children used them, but for us it was a no go area.

I don't know which bush you would hide in if you were heard using such words. And there was Namawejje. However much you pleaded with her to note report you to mother, she would not listen. She would go to mother and report exactly what you said and when mother called you, you knew that it was the end of the road for you. If you had taken days without praying, it was the time you started praying profusely that you are not reported to father. For, if father got to know, your beef was cooked.

So, the only insults we used were "ogira ekitwe" or "kirabe". You could also make faces at someone because faces were difficult to report.
