{UAH} Seminar:When will the execution of innocent people in Egypt stop
The Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK invites you to a timely seminar about the growing human rights violations committed by the Sisi regime against the Egyptian people. The seminar will gather experts to discuss the growing use of the death penalty in Egypt, its human rights implications, and the international response to such atrocities.
Since 2013 about 2,240 persons have been sentenced to death and referred to the Grand Mufti for approval. Among these, 1157 have been approved by the Grand Mufti. So far 96 people have been sentenced to death after exhausting all legal means of appeal. Among them, 46 have been executed. The defendants have been subjected to torture in order to extract false confessions. All of the sentences have been issued without fair trail and constitute grave violations of international Law.
The international community has turned its back on the Egyptian people whose human rights are being violated.
We hope you can participate in our seminar to discuss the increasingly dangerous situation within Egypt.
