WHILE MUSLIMS WAITED FOR ALLAH'S ARRIVAL AT 4AM, JOHO WAITED FOR UHURU'S ARRIVAL

BY MOHAMED WARSAMA

May Allah guide our Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho in his utterances for what he said on Sunday this week and earlier in Vihiga County is cause for serious concern.

Early this year, he embarrassed each and every proud Mombasan when he went o a fundraiser in Vihiga and said: "If Raila tells me to turn right, I will. If he tells me to turn left, I will."

Nobody, made of flesh and blood like us, deserves total unflinching obedience except Allah and His Prophet. Our Governor elevated Raila to that exalted position.

Subhannallah.

But worst of all is his Sunday statement that in the bad days of his confrontation with President Uhuru Kenyatta, he - Joho - used to get out of his home as early as 4am to attend Uhuru's functions in Mombasa in disguise.

Laillaha Illalahu. There is no god but Allah.

In Islamic Teachings, Allah descends from His Mighty Throne to come to the periphery of the Earth every night at 4am asking: "Who amongst my believers is praying to Me for My Succour ?"

That hour 4am is recommended for every Muslim believer to pray the Tahhajud Prayers beseeching Allah for forgiveness and asking Him to solve the believer's particular problems.

Sadly our Governor ignored the arrival of Allah at 4am. Sadly our Governor failed to pray to Allah at 4am asking Him for His Help with his political work.

Instead our governor left his house at 4am to go and lie in wait for Uhuru's arrival which would be around 9am - five hours after Joho left his house at 4am.

Even worse than failing to pray Tahajjud which is voluntary, is the failure to perform Fajr Dawn Prayers at 5am. That one is very compulsory being the first of the five daily prayers.

May Allah correctly guide Joho in future because this is far from good.

MOHAMED WARSAMA

In the days of bad blood, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho used to sneak out of his home as early as 4am to attend President Uhuru Kenyatta's functions in Mombasa so he could tell him off.

And savour a public stand-off.

He would go into hiding with only his bodyguard and wait for when the President's function was about to start, so he could show up.

His sole purpose, according to Joho, was to make sure he denounced Uhuru and his Jubilee administration, knowing full well he'd get a  public tongue lashing in return. It would be in all the papers.

He revealed this on Sunday during the Embrace Movement launch at the Sheikh Zayed Centre in Bombolulu, Mombasa.
