Fwd., African rulers cashing in on Sudan crisis via

hypocritical Public Relations stunts:

'...Meanwhile, South Sudan's President Salva Kiir

offered to mediate in Sudan's political crisis. In a

letter seen by The Associated Press, Kiir this week

pledged his support for a transition in which the

rights of the Sudanese people are protected and

offered to "mediate the on-going negotiations"

among various groups.' - END.

All this is going on as the S.Sudan backyard remains

littered with numerous unresolved issues. Riek Machar

is not prepared to return to S.Sudan as V.P. in May,

citing safety and security concerns:
