Fw: {UAH} Ghana’s President begs footballer not to retire from team

Bobby;

Asamoah Gyan should know that being a public figure, the public read: the media had a right to report his divorce and he had to expect no absolute control on how the media reported it be it good or bad! That is if he is grown up socially and publicly speaking. He is not alone on this nor the last...... deja vu!

He better watch out not to end up like great Kenyan athlete who broke 6 records in 1 single year and ended up a pauper in the USA, drunkard and at times a thief! Look at people like Paul Gascoine (Ghaza) how he has turned into given his past glory for English football skills, talent and all!

The national manager knows better why he does not want him in as captain at this time..... most like the state of his mind, leadership ability, etc! He needs to fight the media on the field and ashame it on his terms. At the same time, I believe he still needs cash and going to need cash given his divorce and realigning of his life.

I wish him well.

Edmund

Here is the whole of Ghana begging Asamoah Gyan not to retire from international football. Asamoah retired a few days when the National Coach told him he was going to be replaced as Captain, but would still be considered for selection.. Asamoah's relations with the press in Ghana has been damaged almost beyond repair because of the torrid way they covered his recent divorce. But Asamoah is still loved by millions of Ghanaians. He is now 33, but has been playing for Ghana since 17. He is their  top goal scorer of all time time and is also the top African scorer in the World Cup, with a total of 6 goals in three world cups..You can not talk about Ghanaian football without talking about Asamoah Gyan. He is synonymous with  Ghana football and will remain an institution for many years to come. Ghana will never replace him. I only wish  they find a way of making him retire with the dignity and the respect that he deserves.. He is their greatest player of all time.

The all-time leading scorer for Ghana's black stars, announced his shocking retirement on Monday, barley a month to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

In a statement, the striker said he will not be available for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.

His decision according to local media was due to the decision by the coach to replace him as captain during the AFCON.

But Ghana's President on Tuesday held a meeting with the management committee of the Black Stars and the Ghana FA Normalization Committee.
