here is mine.

Had there not been a war in the Middle East what would be the
possibility of Donald Trump coming to power in the USA?

One of my USA friend, a very reasonable professor took me aside and
she said she hates the democrats, they have run down the country. I
voted for Trump. Since childhood she has been a democrat!

You did?

Yes I did...everyone in America think the country is being run down.

Is it something wrong with the political system?

No. People are insecure.

Where does that fear come from, I asked?

Well, that is the general perception. People do not believe in
politicians at all.

I have seen many American professors studying and debating the Nordic
welfare system. Nothing has really happened in the USA to guarantee
security of the person the sick, unemployed, high home mortgages and
homelessness, job security and crime.

In most of Europe i.e. the UK the Polish who are doing basically
manual jobs are the undesired lot "stealing our jobs". Politicians
have rode on that perception. But the Polish are Europeans.

I am also amazed by Europeans hate of Germans
