Hon Hillary Onek Swallows his Pride Apologizes for his Rant Over Apaa.

Minister of disaster preparedness and refugees Eng Hillary Onek has apologized to the people of northern Uganda over his reckless statement saying the people of Apaa had accepted to leave their area.

Hon Onek made this statement yesterday as President Yoweri Museveni met a team of Acholi leaders at NTC Unyama Gulu.

According to a news post from Chowoo, the statement of Mr, Hillary did not go well with some of the leaders who looked as him as a fortune seeker before the president.

The unhappy group protested Hillary foul play before the president as the LCV Chairman of Amuru Michael Lakony walked of the meeting in protest.

Citing danger Hillary cornered his statement to appease the already upset leaders by apologizing with a reference arguing that "I apologize for the errors, in my statement that those in Apaa Land considered to be game reserve willingness to leave the area for the park if compensated was based on an interview in Kampala of two individuals living in Apaa who told me they would be willing to leave .

One of them is a serious farmer but seems I assumed wrongly that all would accept this option. I was not given chance to explain further", was reads a note from part of his apology message.

Hon Hillary Onek is one of the lately appointed committee members by the president to oversee issues on Apaa land chaired by the deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah
