-- This is a good revelation by CJ Maraga. It is good if public officials open up. Alcoholism is a serious problem in the legal profession- most lawyers I know can not function without alcohol. It is a huge contrast with our country where a head of state, Kayibanda Museveni, who has been battling HIV/ AIDS for the last 20 years and has infected at least 5 women that I know of, , goes on TV and claims he is in very good health and that explains his longevity in power.

Chief Justice David Maraga has revealed peer pressure led him to be an alcoholic for 20 years of his life and were it not him turning his life around, he would not be Kenya's top judge in country's apex court today. While speaking at JKUAT on Saturday afternoon, he said he wasted 20 years of his youth chasing after women and alcohol something he says is of the past now after dedicating his life in Christ.
