I really pity the muslims of Sri Lanka. They are now victims of violent mob attacks. Since they declared Jihad or holy war on Christians Easter Sunday more than two weeks ago, nearly no muslim has been able to leave their homes because of fear of REVENGE attack- such is the level of animosity and anger towards muslims. I know most of them are innocent but the mobs dont make the distinction. The Catholic Church has shown extreme moderation, with the Cardinal of Colombo appearing in almost daily sermons on TV, appealing to his Catholic faithful to forgive the muslims.. But few seem to be willing to forgive. May be in time they will, but that time is still a long way off. The government may have to set up apartheid walls to separate the different religious communities and particularly to protect the muslims.. Whoever said that Muslims can live in peace with other religions needs a smack in the mouth.
