{UAH} NOW LOOK AT THIS PARLIAMENT AGAIN...

After raising their own salaries recently by 38% (and this follows raising the money for each MP to buy a luxury 4 wheel drive SUV vehicle, and also absolving themselves from PAYE taxes on their salaries as other Ugandans do, while also increasing their medical allowances, and even creating a new allowance for their own death), parliament now wants the Ugandan tax payer to pay their OTT (social media tax).

Remember that the Social media tax came from the Ministry of ICT and was approved by cabinet before the bill being passed by that parliament. And also remember that Parliament is not only the Speaker and her deputy, there is also the Prime Minister of Uganda, the Vice president, their deputies, the Minister of Defence, Internal Affairs, Foreign affairs ICT, Trade and all the rest plus their State Ministers. It is also the UPDF representatives. These are people who not only get hefty salaries, government perks, and several allowances for being MP's, they are each also paid a second hefty salary, other luxurious government perks, plus other hefty allowances as Ministers.

Now they have found the Ugandan tax payer to be their VPN as they not only dodge paying the social media tax that they themselves imposed on Ugandans under the excuse of expanding the tax base, they are forcing Ugandans to pay it for them.

If there was any clearer definition of corruption, impunity, questionable enrichment, heartless greed and ideological emptiness, it is NRM.

And as the country wallows under a crushing debt burden (by the way all the national debt was also approved by the same House), the Parliament has proved itself to be another growing burden to Ugandans, and an endless pit to the countries meagre finances. The same parliament that has been changing the constitution against the will of the people just like it did with the dictator Milton Obote's 1966  "Pigeon hole constitution". Therefore the very parliament that has actually been legitimizing and entrenching the nepotist, tribalist dictatorship that bribes parliament continuously and rewards parliamentary cronies with ministerial positions for their unfettered sycophancy.

Instead of serving their country, they want the country to serve their insatiable greed for power, money and sex while the people of Uganda remain stuck in poverty, desperation, and the hope of a future with a new, conscientious and patriotic leadership.
