{UAH} Dominican Republic strips thousands of black residents of citizenship, may now expel them
Ikanos/ Alan Barigye
Can you imagine that there is still anti-black racism in the Dominican Republic? I have been to the country twice and I was truly shocked. Dominican Republic and Haiti are one country seperated by a border, which is just one long arbitrary line. The people of Dominican Republic are mainly light skinned half castes whereas the people of Haiti are pure black Africans.who declared their independence from France in the 18th century becoming the first independent black nation in the western hemisphere. But the light skinned Dominicans discriminate against the darker skinned Dominicans and Haitians. Now I am shocked they are even declaring all dark skinned people non citizens and want to deport them- to where no one knows. Slavery and colonialism has damaged the black race almost beyond repair.
