Subject: [PK] SONKO HAS HIGH INTERNET VIRUS (HIV)
The most ridiculous suggestion of the year I have just read is the claim that Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was released three months early from Shimo La Tewa prison because he was found to have HIV positive.
Now let me make this disclaimer right from the outset. I don't know Sonko personally nor do I interact with the man who is our governor.
But as a veteran journalist, I keep a close tab on Sonko on a daily basis via his FB and Press statements or controversies.
One thing I can tell you for sure as my name is Mohamed is that Sonko would have been dead a long time ago if he had HIV positive.
This is where I am critical of The Star for not doing a balanced reporting. It should have countered the judge's ruling with known facts that are in the public domain, particularly regarding those pertaining to the Governor's frenetic activities daily without a let-up.
The man is full of energy.
There is no single day since his August 8 2017 election that Sonko was taken ill and hospitalised.
There is no single day since4 8.8.2017 that Sonko has kept his mouth shut and stayed away from his FB.
Hardly a week goes by without the man acting like a nocturnal cat visiting roundabouts to supervise construction, paying surprise visits to Pumwani Maternity and going to demolition sites.
Come first Saturday of the month, he leads volunteers in a monthly cleanup.
And all through the week, at all hours, he is broadcasting live on FB to "my people" or meeting visitors at his parlor.
He sleeps late at night and is back on FB by 5am or 6am.
Can such a man if HIV positive stay alive since 1999 without being killed by his high flying activities ?
No man suffering from HIV can survive even if all the ARV drugs in the world were pumped into his body.
Therefore there is no way Sonko is suffering from HIV positive. If he has HIV it is High Internet Virus kind. Period.
So whatever reasons Judge Oguk had in decreeing Sonko's early release from prison because of HIV, he has taken those reasons with him to his grave.
I rest my case here pointedly.
