P2BAM History....When the Basoga Was the Cleverest Tribe in Uganda (& Africa!)
- Basoga saw its last great economic and social growth during the Obote 2 Presidency (1980-85), through the formation of JIK Association (Jinja, Iganga, Kamuli) led by Dr. Luwuliza Kirunda UPC Secretary General / Minister of Internal Affairs
- Amongst the achievements of JIK was the completion of Bugembe Cathedral and the building of many schools and hospitals in Busoga. Busoga College Mwiri was at its peak. Jinja industries were thriving - Nytil, Nile Breweries, Kakira, BAT, Grain Milling etc
- Who remembers what JIK and these great Basoga leaders achieved for Busoga?
- In photo are clever and great Basoga men who contributed to Busoga growth in Busoga, Uganda and globally.
