Why do mother's still die of child birth in Uganda? In this day and age, no mother should die of child birth anywhere in the world, But in Uganda, giving birth to a child is like a death sentence. So if the the daughters of the privileged, upper class nouveau riche like Tamale Mirungu can die in a hospital, what about the daughters of the poor in the rural areas who dont even have the luxury of a health facility or an ambulance?

Monica Namatovu, a daughter to veteran journalist and Senior Presidential Advisor on Media, Tamale Mirundi has passed on while giving birth at Mengo Hospital in Kampala.
