Thank for this piece, I never ever knew that "Joseph Murumbi" was not a Maasai! No wonder George Muthengi a.k.a. George Saitoti a Kikuyu full blood wore the Maasai name and enjoyed privileges!

To make matters even worse; they both ended up VPs!

Fitz De Sousa was a daring young man, who took on a mountainous task of representing Jomo Kenyatta and his fellow Kapenguria detainees. 

In his continuing series, we learn also how an intrepid Goan-Kenyan, Joseph Zuzarte willingly changed his name to Joseph Murumbi, in order to better fit in the leadership and struggles of the nascent Kenya African Union.
