IF I KNOCK A GOAT ON THE MAIN ROAD AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY
Zanzi has always liked how Ssebuguzi drives his car. So when he borrowed his brother's Kikele he tried out what he had seen. Unfortunately, a silly goat came out and tried to cross the road. Two things happened, the car was damaged and some people stole the dead goat for muchomo. Now the owner of the goat is threatening him. He says his goat was going to educate all his children and make them doctors. So he wants 50 million shillings. Zanzi needs help with this.
SHOULD ZANZI PAY?
The short answer is NO!!!! In fact, the real criminal here is the owner of the goat. Under the Traffic law in Uganda, it is illegal for anyone to fail to keep their domestic animal or pet under proper control on any road or in any public place.
Therefore if you have any animals and want to take a walk with them, please keep them under control. You can use a leash so that they are not a danger or nuisance to other people. As for drivers, please drive safe, do not be like Zanzi
