{UAH} LAWYER TO COURT; MINISTER NANTABA FLEEING TO CANADA
By Mulengera Reporters
Controversial city lawyer Nkunyingi Muwada, who is representing the family of slain Ronald Sebulime (shot for allegedly trailing Minister Aida Nantaba) has maintained they have credible information (corroborated by sources close to her that) the State ICT Minister wants to flee the country to escape justice.

"We told this to court as part of our argument as to why they must urgently issue an arrest warrant to enable us secure her appearance before court before she suceeds running away from it's jurisdiction," Muwada told Mulengera News Tuesday evening repeating what she told the Mukono Magistrate on Monday.
This was after MP Nantaba, who Muwada says was duly served through her supervisor the Speaker of Parliament, defied court summons and didn't show up for the 9am court session as had been required by the same Magistrate.
But Muwada's application for the defiant Nantaba to be arrested and forcefully brought before court was countered by a gentleman who introduced himself as the representative of the DPP Mike Chibita and Mukono area RSA. The mystery gentleman told court he had been instructed by Chibita to take over the case since the Constitution mandates DPP to take over any criminal matter at whatever stage.

Muwada furiously objected to this saying the stranger should adduce written instructions from Chibita. He also argued it would be strange for DPP to take over since he and Sebulime family members met the DPP several times and he didn't exhibit any appetite to prosecute Nantaba and others over Sebulime's March murder.
The two lawyers exchanged hot words with one threatening to thump the other prompting the Magistrate to adjourn the matter to Friday when he will rule on whether to allow DPP take over and on the need to issue arrest warrant for Nantaba as argued by Muwada.
Cynically saying Nantaba was clearly now above the law, Muwada begged the Magistrate to clearly direct SFC, UPDF, ISO and Interpol police commanders to be the ones to apprehend and deliver Nantaba before him since Police has proved too weak to dare do anything to the powerfully connected Kayunga woman MP.
Muwada also begged the Magistrate to make his arrest warrant very explicit to ensure Nantaba doesn't once again say she is under instructions by the President to elude arrest.
During the same court session, Muwada also declined the request by the RSA that the Sebulime family hands over all the evidence they have gathered to implicate the Minister on grounds "that's sure deal it will end in the hands of Hon Nantaba."
Muwada told reporters they will continue objecting to that particular RSA being assigned the case by the DPP because he is clearly biased in favor of Nantaba. "He sounded like Nantaba's defense lawyer throughout and there is no way such a person can play the role of an efficient prosecutor against Nantaba," Muwada explained.
He also vehemently rejected claims that he was a proxy of renowned Nantaba haters like Gen Salim Saleh and tycoon Moses Karangwa. "That's being escapist. Let her not drag people's names in this. We are in this as a law firm having been duly instructed by Sebulime's family and we strongly reject her efforts to determine who our client should be in this case. She stands advised that blaming everything on her old adversaries won't lead her anywhere. We want her in open court and it's the only way her innocence will be established in a lasting manner. Otherwise scapegoating will only postpone a big problem."
We have the nexus connecting her to the crime and it's to court that those genuinely seeking to clear their names go and not anywhere else. You don't run to the President. That won't help make her legally immune to prosecution and we are in this for a marathon. Let her know that those tricks of blackmailing us won't work because we are emotionally ready for a prolonged fight. Sebulime left orphans and fighting for justice on his behalf is the least we can do as a law firm proceeding under clear written instructions from the family," Muwada concluded.
