{UAH} NAMBY, THE NEW WILLIAM WILBERFORCE. FIGHTING MODERN DAY MUSLIM ARAB SLAVE TRADE

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting

I almost spent the whole of last night awake....the Ugandan girls in the Arab countries exported as domestic labourers arranged for a WhatsApp chart with me....hundreds of them from Oman,Dubai,Abudabi, Jordan, Saudi Arabia,....it was so touching listening to their stories.

They shared pictures and videos of their toil and misery...From this chat I discovered that we have a bigger problem before us than anyone can imagine. The fact of the matter is that as we are here turning this debate into a political contest which must be won by the regime or
trivializing it...thousands of Ugandan girls are being held as slaves in various homes in the middle east.

There are 60 girls who run away from their cruel masters sick and injured stranded at our embassy in UAE,unspecified number that includes one Nalumansi who was raped by a gang of five men stranded at our embassy in Saudi Arabia, hundreds pilling themselves in small rooms having failed to get jobs as those who took them promised, hundreds of girls in various prisons in the middle east, many dead and secretly buried in the desert while thousands are held in homes where they are not allowed to step out of the house...imagine staying indoors for months, years;facing all type of violations.

Worse still, when we started this campaign to raise a voice calling for respecting human rights of the Ugandan migrant workers, Ugandan Officials one of them Yasin Musoke based in Saudi Arabia were facilitated to launch an intimidation crusade on the girls. Musoke who happens to have many of the contacts of the suffering girls has told them that to talk to Nambooze is treason and anyone who will be reported that she talks to her will never live to return home.

I have also learnt that labour export companies through their Association working together with the Ministry of labour have set aside funds and a team to fight Nambooze.Assuming that the Ugandan Government is not part of this elicit trade and assuming that the labour export companies disapprove of the actions of enslaving our girls, why are they out to fight our campaign that calls for better treatment and observing of the rights of the migrant labours in the middle east? Why are they fighting Nambooze to the extent of promising to harm me,why are they panicking?

The answer is that Uganda through labour export companies and individual traffickers is getting rid of her people....the regime would rather send her people into slavery other than shouldering the burden and risks of having many unemployed youth around.

I humbly request you to call your MP today to join us tomorrow as we push through a motion calling for a public hearing and calling for a lasting solution to this matter. This should be a non partisan matter...Let's be Ugandan for once and demand for respect for the rights of the Ugandan migrant workers...better terms for our people in the middle east.
DO ALL YOU CAN TO RAISE A VOICE FOR THE ENSLAVED UGANDAN GIRLS IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
