On July 15, 2019, Diane Rwigara did the unthinkable. In an open letter, she challenged the Rwandan totalitarian ruler, General Paul Kagame to explain the killing the people of Rwanda. Diane Rwigara knew the consequences of her actions. She risks being thrown into prison, or meeting a mysterious accident, or simply disappearing, which are the routine means by which Kagame removes people who dare challenge him.

Days later, Diane Rwigara held a press conference. Below is Diane Rwigara addressing the press about her letter to Kagame about unexplained killings in Rwanda over the past two decades.
