{UAH} Botswana has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole world

Lifestyle and Culture today will take us deep into the southern deserts of Africa. It will take us to the Bantu-speaking West African country called Botswana.

Botswana is a landlocked country approximately the size of France but with a population of only a little above 2million, it is one of the least densely populated countries of Africa. The country is landlocked between Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia. There are a lot of fun facts and locations about Botswana and we will look at some straight away.

1) 70% of shows aired on Natgeowild are actually recorded in Botswana especially in Okavango Delta and Chobe national park where a lot of southern animals migrate to during the rainy season. So people in Botswana actually watch natgeowild but in real life.

2) Botswana has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole world. Ironically the most severe elephant attacks have occurred in Asia because they do not know how to respect the elephants.

3) The boarder between Botswana and Zambia is on record, the shortest boarder in the whole world. In essence, Usian Bolt can run from Botswana to Zambia in 10 seconds.

4) Botswana which is the name of the country, is actually a collective name for people from Botswana, while a single individual from Botswana is called Motswana. Their currency is the pula which literally means rain, because it is as rare as rainfall there.

5) 38% of the country is set aside for game's reserve!!! More astonishing is the fact that the animals that occupy that 38% of the landmass are more than the humans who occupy the remaining 62%!!!

6) Botswana is the home of the Kalahari desert which is one of the wetter deserts known to man. This is why the currency is called rain because of its rarity.

7) Botswana is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. Buoyed by it's tourist and heritage sites, tourism is bringing the country up the economic ladder.

8) Botswana is one of the largest producers of diamonds, however revenue generated from the sale of diamonds is used to ensure free education for every single child in Botswana.

9) Foreigners in Botswana are called Lekgoa which means spat out from the sea, because it is believed that anyone not born in Botswana jumped out of the ocean.

10) They actually have a male and female football team😁😁

That's all we have from this wonderful South African Country called Botswana
