EU to expel migrants for visiting their homeland

The German Federal Minister of the Interior, Horst Seehofer, proposed expelling refugees from the country, who often visit their homeland. According to him, such departures demonstrate the absence of persecution of refugees in their home countries.

At the same time, he pointed out the sums that refugees spend on their "vacation" at home. So, on average, the price of tickets from Germany to Syria, Afghanistan or Iraq and vice versa exceeds € 1.5 thousand.

Thus, the issue of legislative deprivation of refugee status of such migrants will be discussed in the Bundestag on September 8. According to MP Waldemar Herdt, this is not a political issue, but simple logic.

French MP Thierry Mariani has recently showed his support to this opinion, suggesting to introduce this practice throughout the EU.
