{UAH} Israel denies US Reps. Omar and Tlaib visa after Trump's call

Israel has announced that it will bar US Democrats, Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar from entering the country.

The decision, made public by Deputy Foreign Minister,  Tzipi Hotovely, followed a phone call from  President Trump, telling Israel to not allow the US politicians. The two House Reps are known to support a Pro-Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

I find President Trump's intervention in Israeli's domestic politics, and Israeli's decision  to block the visit petty and maniacally vengeful. Israel would score a bagful of political points if it had allowed its two American critics to visit the country, and meet both Jews and Muslim leaders.

A photo of Reps. Tlaib and Omar, holding meetings with both sides of the political divide, would have served to convey a better message than this frightened decision to prevent their visit.

Instead, the racist Netanyahu regime and the xenophobic administration of a racist American president, have joined forces to compound the strained relations between Jews and Muslims in Israel.
