Mexico is one of the main countries in the North American continent sharing boarders with the USA. There is a lot more to the country than just the fact that Donald Trump built a wall against them or that they have a large drug cartel. And we will run through a few of them.
1) Mexico is the third largest country in the world based on landmass and with an estimated population of well over 117 million Mexicans it is one of the most densely populated countries too.
2) Mexico has 68 official languages. Due to the diversity present in the country, the Mexicans have 68 accepted languages chief of which is Spanish followed closely by English. Then there are the native Mexicans.
3) Mexico is the world's largest producer of silver. It is still a wonder why the Mexicans would rather involve in drug cases than just mine silver.
4) In ancient Mexico, the Aztecs who used to occupy the country sacrificed approximately 250,000 people per year to appease their gods. Incredible.
5) The Great Pyramid of Cholula found in the Mexican city of Puebla is actually the world's largest pyramid, bigger than Egyptian pyramids.
6) Mexico as a country lies on a body of water. The Mexicans do not go to streams for water but channel water from that underground body of water, due to this fact the city of Mexico is actually a sinking city which sinks 3 feet per year.
7) Mexico is the world's largest producer of beer and the famous tequila is a native of Mexico. Not for persons under 18.
8) Mexico is home to 10% of the world's flora and fauna. A true sight to behold.
9) chocolate originated from the Aztecs in ancient Mexico.
10) Mexico is the hardest working country in the world with locals working 43.2 hours per week. We however know many Nigerians who work harder than that.
