{UAH} KAY AMIN (RIP)
Exactly 45 years ago today, my late mother Kay Amin (RIP) was abducted by power-hungry Milton Obote's fascist assassins dispatched from Tanzania. On 14th August 1974, she was taken by force from her private residence near Kisekka market in the capital Kampala and brutally murdered in cold blood that very day. I will always remember the unbearable sight of my mother laying motionless and with her eyes closed when we arrived with my father to identify the body at Mulago Hospital mortuary. Tears started rolling from my eyes as it dawned on me that she was no more. An innocent loving mother of four and a devout Christian who never discriminated against anyone whether on tribe, religion or political beliefs. She had spent her last year's doing everything she could in support of education for all children in Uganda, and she had also spared no effort to try and uplift women into professionalism, entrepreneurship and governance positions. Her remains were discovered by police as the murderers attempted to dispose of the body, and her final resting place is at the quiet Saint Mathews Church. A gentle, clean-hearted and dedicated mother of the nation who had no known enemies but was senselessly killed with total impunity and in the most unfathomable way by Milton Obote's blood-thirsty, sectarian, tribalist murderers simply because she was the wife of Idi Amin.

(Previous article on the deliberate Obote murders, abductions and mysterious disappearances merely intended to distabilize the Amin government and bring Milton Obote and his ethnic group back to power as evidenced 5 years later in 1979 with the two decades of genocidal tribalism bloodbath that ensued in Uganda after the Amin presidency, and which resulted in an estimated 2 million innocent Ugandans, mostly poor peasants, all heartlessly murdered at the hands of Amin's political enemies who were supported by Tanzania: https://ugandansatheart.blogspot.com/2019/07/uah-republished-due-to-public-demand.html)
